When adults are asked why they volunteer for Scouting, we often hear it’s all about making a difference or creating better opportunities for young people. This concept is at the core of everyday Scouting and through visionary individuals, it helps enable others to rise to a challenge and create exciting opportunities for young people within Groups and the District. One of the key roles within the District that makes this happen, inspiring and motivating others to rise to this challenge of creating exceptional Scouting, is the role of the District Commissioner.
